Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking an experienced Resilient Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) to work in the Panama City, FL area.

United States Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as our Task Lead for Resilient Engineering requirements.
  • Help thoroughly define resiliency risks, provide mitigation strategies to address energy assurance and resiliency risks, and support the development of resilient energy requirements.
  • Aid in the development of Resiliency Plans.
  • Develop and provide engineering reviews of qualifying Energy Resilience and Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP) projects.
  • Support the client in the development of the Annual Energy Management and Resiliency Report by responding to data calls and providing resiliency project and mission information.
  • Assist with the technical evaluation of resilient energy contractor proposals.
  • Support the development of renewable/resilient power purchase strategies and evaluate wind power, photovoltaic, geothermal, biomass, backup storage, and other renewable/resiliency projects.
  • Support the development of utility contracting requirements by providing advice and assistance on the acquisition of resilient energy sources, energy storage, and energy control.
  • Prepare briefings and reports regarding resiliency for Air Force leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support energy assurance/resiliency training for appropriate personnel, assisting in the development of training curriculum and establishing training logistics and delivery.
  • Other support duties as needed/directed.
Qualifications

Experience/Skills:

  • 3-10 years of experience hardening Air Force installations and developing/implementing resiliency projects and strategies
  • Experience developing energy resiliency projects for the DoD
  • Proficiency in computer skills to work and maintain SharePoint, websites, input data and perform utility rate analysis support using computer software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Professional.

Education:

  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree

Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance is required. An active DoD Secret Clearance is preferred.
  • Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITCS Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
