Vue Developer

This role is focused on the UX standards for the company but will be actively coding in Vue. They build and test UI components for the internal design system, ensuring they work well when composed together and across browsers. They will work with the Product Manager to discover new UI components and patterns needed but not yet in the library, prototype them, test with customers, and then develop them into accessible, best-practice components.

Roles & Responsibilities:  

• Working with the internal design system
  
• Working with development teams to help integrate new components and review code submissions from non-experts
  
• Ensuring the team works within the boundaries and subscribes to the design system
  
• Working with team members, peers, and management to identify objectives and set priorities
  
• Documenting your work, and communicating that with your team members
  
• Updating the design system as appropriate and engaging with users on feedback
  
• Maintaining skills and updating as required  
   
  

Qualifications:

• University Degree in Computer Science or related program and/or relevant experience
  
• 5 years' work experience as a software developer
  
• Strong proficiency with Vue and modern frontend technologies
  
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  
• Experience with web accessibility standards and best practices
  
• Experience with Vitest or other Automated Testing Libraries
  
• Knowledge of web components and working with the DOM, as well as styled components would be helpful
  
• Knowledge of backend technologies such as Node.js or similar
  
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with clients both written and spoken
