JOB DESCRIPTION: Restaurant Hardware and Software Implementation Specialist (Mid-Level)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a qualified and Mid-Level Restaurant Hardware and Software Implementation Specialist, a proactive and solution-oriented Software Implementation Specialist to join our dynamic team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities as a Mid-Level Restaurant Hardware and Software Implementation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful deployment and integration of our cloud-based technology solutions within restaurant environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective installation and training processes, focusing on both mobile and web-based applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and configure hardware and software systems at client sites, including remote or physical on-site troubleshooting.
  • Provide high-quality technical support, both on-site and remotely, for hardware and software issues.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to solve technical issues promptly.
  • Train restaurant staff on how to effectively use the software, hardware, and other technology-based systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and guides.
  • Stay updated on the latest restaurant technology trends and software upgrades.
  • Work closely with the development team to report bugs and suggest improvements.
  • Participate in the testing and deployment of new software versions.
  • Build customer profiles, gather data, and keep track of interactions throughout the lifecycle of engagement.
  • Document customer helpdesk content in the format of How-to Articles, FAQs, Training Guides, Video Tutorials.
  • Help build better practices for customer support, hardware installation, and software deployment at customer locations.
  • Manage and execute customer support outreach via Live Chat (online bot), Ticketing System, Email correspondences, Phone Calls, On-Site Visits, and any other means of communication brought in for customer support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical support roles, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in various restaurant technology hardware and software systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Zoom, Basecamp, and Google Drive.
  • Ability to communicate and maintain confidentiality with high-profile personalities in a professional manner.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if required.

A PLUS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems, order management systems, and other restaurant-specific technology.
  • Familiarity with remote troubleshooting techniques.
  • Certification in relevant hardware or software systems.
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to manage client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Start-up experience.
