Job description

Indigo Research provides a unique opportunity to mentor highly motivated high school students from around the world, helping them learn about academic research and complete a college-level project. Our program offers high-quality research mentorship to aspiring students from diverse backgrounds, with the goals of giving them valuable experience in academic research and making a significant impact on their future academic and professional careers.

As an Indigo Research Mentor specializing in Neuroscience, you will work remotely and connect with students via video call. You will guide them through the research and writing process, focusing on topics such as brain development, neural networks, behavioral neuroscience, or neurodegenerative diseases. The goal is to help them complete and publish a small independent research project, such as a literature review, research paper, or computational model. Through your mentorship, you will help students understand the complexities of the brain and unlock their potential in neuroscience.

Qualifications:

  • Assistant Professor at a US top 15 or UK top 10 universities in Neuroscience, Psychology, or related fields.
  • A high degree of empathy and deep cross-cultural comfort when working with high-school students.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and implementing changes.
  • Flexible when working in a start-up environment.
  • Sound judgment and knowing when to ask for support!
