Job description

Reclatam is hiring a detail-oriented, compassionate, and bilingual Asylum Legal Assistant to support a California-based immigration law firm. This is a 100% remote position, ideal for someone with a strong background in asylum or immigration law, excellent communication skills, and fluency in Arabic.

You will play a critical role in helping individuals and families navigate the U.S. asylum process by providing administrative support, gathering documentation, preparing filings, and communicating with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing asylum applications, affidavits, and supporting documents.
  • Translate and summarize Arabic documents into English for 

    legal use.
  • Conduct client intakes and maintain regular communication with Arabic-speaking clients.
  • Prepare and organize evidence packets and filing materials.

  • Track deadlines and monitor case progress using the firms 

    case management system.
  • Coordinate with clients to collect missing information and ensure timely submissions.
  • Respond to client inquiries with empathy and professionalism.

  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the

    legal team.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written)

  • Prior experience as a legal assistant, preferably in immigration law.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working remotely and available to work during

    Pacific Time (California hours).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and case management systems (Filevine or similar is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or paralegal certification.

  • Knowledge of U.S. asylum procedures and immigration forms.
