HistoSonics is a medical device company, founded in 2009, that has developed a non-invasive, sonic beam therapy platform that uses histotripsy, which is capable of destroying targeted liver tumors. Our mission and passion are to advance the novel science of histotripsy and its powerful benefits, bringing meaningful and transformational change to physicians and their patients.
Location: Remote - Texas (ideally Houston area)
Travel: 70% of the time with an average of 3 hotel overnights/week, flying and driving (mostly TX, occasionally beyond)
Position Summary
This position is primarily responsible for providing expert clinical case support, conducting comprehensive staff and physician training, and leading on-site implementation activities. The CES serves as a key liaison between HistoSonics and clinical teams, ensuring successful adoption and ongoing utilization of technology. Working closely with both clinical and commercial teams, the CES helps drive procedural success, optimize workflow integration, and deliver exceptional customer experiences through education, collaboration, and real-time clinical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the HistoSonics Education, Marketing, Sales and R&D teams to deliver world-class customer education programs that enhance the value of the organization.
- Master the updated clinical implementation process for the Edison system, including pre-site planning, live case support, and post-launch follow-up.
- Work closely with education partners to deliver impactful programs that maximize learning.
- At the direction of Education leadership, support remote customer education and implementation activities as needed.
- Establish and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with sales (ASM/AM) to drive alignment on implementation readiness and training needs.
- Provide high-quality education to clinical staff and physicians using the Edison system, ensuring safe and effective use in live cases.
- Execute customer education programs at the direction of education leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.

- Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, including but not limited to HIPAA, Sunshine Act and the HistoSonics Guidelines on Interaction with US Healthcare Professionals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, biomedical engineering, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in medical device and healthcare technology (preferably disruptive technology).
- Preferred Experience implementing strong education programs that have delivered proven results
- Preferred clinical and education experience with ultrasound or advanced imaging-based technologies
- Must be willing and able to travel (by automobile or air, day trips and overnight stays) up to 70% of the time with an average of 3 hotel overnights/week
- Must be able to meet all hospital credentialing requirements, including but not limited to, background check, drug screen and immunizations.
Salary Range: $100,000-130,000, plus bonus.
