What You’ll Be Doing:
Evolent is looking for a Senior Director of FP&A (Services) to join our team of Finance professionals working to advance Evolent’s mission. This role is part of a centralized corporate FP&A team focused on financial intelligence, analysis, and forecasting, with a strong emphasis on strategic thought partnership.
This is a high-impact, leadership role for a strategic finance professional who will act as the go-to partner for the Services business, operating with extreme ownership, driving cross-functional progress, and serving as a mini-CFO for their business area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary finance partner to the Services leadership team, owning end-to-end financial performance and decision support.
• Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively through both written materials and verbal presentations, tailoring messaging for executive audiences and cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
• Act as a strategic advisor, building trusted relationships with business leaders and providing financial insights to support decision-making.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives in partnership with Operations Finance, Client Finance, Talent, and other teams to align financial planning with business execution.
• Synthesize complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for executive stakeholders.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and performance management processes for the Services business.
• Coordinate staffing strategy, growth plans, and client go-lives in collaboration with Operations Finance.
• Champion innovation in financial processes and tools, including automation and technology enhancements for forecasting and reporting.
• Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate execution of deliverables.
Leadership & Strategic Impact:
• Operate as a trusted SME and thought partner to Finance and Senior Leadership.
• Drive strategic initiatives and solve complex business challenges with a balance of big-picture thinking and attention to detail.
• Lead a team responsible for building and maintaining scalable, accurate forecast models, and personally drive ad hoc complex financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead the annual planning and forecasting process, quarterbacking collaboration across departments and surfacing key business drivers.
• Identify and communicate major risks and opportunities, influencing strategic decisions across the business.
Qualifications (Required and Preferred):
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative field.
• 8+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, accounting, or a related finance role.
• Proven ability to lead and scale high-performing teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Strong command of financial concepts including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling.
• Experience with ERP and planning/reporting systems (Workday and Adaptive Insights preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and own business outcomes.
• Experience in healthcare or healthcare services is required.
Technical Requirements:
We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $150,000-$160,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees.
