Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance on challenging security projects for our Professional Services and Managed Services customers
  • Develop custom methodologies, payloads, exploits, and tools to ensure project success
  • Develop new Chariot capabilities based upon security vulnerabilities identified in consulting security projects. 
  • Learn as much as possible about the industry and the work we do

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated passion for Offensive Security and Adversarial Engineering
  • Demonstrated passion and experience in any of the following:
    • Product Security Testing (Application, Mobile, LLM)
    • Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
    • Web Application Penetration Testing
    • Internal/External Network Penetration Testing
    • Red Team
    • IoT Security (Embedded, Firmware, Wireless)
    • Secure Code Review
    • Reverse Engineering
    • Vulnerability Research / Exploit Development
  • Experience writing software or scripts using common offensive security languages such as Go (Golang), Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Internships with cyber, startup, and/or high-tech companies
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics

+1 Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable contributions to vulnerability research, exploit development, and CVE assignments
  • Familiarity with AI prompt engineering to support tool development, script generation, payload creation, and adversary emulation
  • Capture-the-flag, CCDC, CPTC or other security related competitions
  • Notable achievements on testing platforms such as Hack the Box, TryHackMe, Portswigger and similar 
  • Verifiable open source contribution with git commits to popular offsec projects
  • Security community experience via presentations, conference attendance, blogs, white papers and similar 
  • PNPT, BSCP, OSCP, CPTS, OSWE, OSCE, OSEP, OSED, CRTO, cloud certifications and similar

We believe in clarity and fairness from the start. For candidates based in California, Colorado, Washington, and New York, the estimated base salary range for this role is $105,000-$140,000. The final offer will be thoughtfully determined based on various factors, including your unique skills, experience, and location.
