About the role:

BM Digital is a top-tier performance marketing agency driving $1B+ in annual e-commerce revenue, managing $200M+ in ad spend, and pioneering the next generation of marketing with AI.

We execute 80,000+ influencer partnerships per month and spend $50M+ annually on creator-driven campaigns, making us one of the most scaled influencer marketing engines on the planet.

We’re now building the next phase: Stella, our proprietary AI-powered CMO. Stella is a fully autonomous system managing paid media, influencer ops, creative testing, CRO, and performance reporting - without the overhead of bloated teams.

We’re hiring a Director of AI to lead this transformation: to turn Stella into the most advanced growth-operating system in the agency world.

This role is not theoretical - it’s operational, fast-paced, and high-impact. You’ll work directly with the founder and department heads to design, build, and deploy agent-based AI systems that scale BM Digital to 10x output with the same headcount.

As the architect of Stella, you’ll own design and deployment of:

  • Influencer Automation System
    • Powers 80,000+ creator partnerships monthly across UGC, whitelisting, and affiliate funnels
    • Handles sourcing, vetting, outreach, negotiation, asset collection, and compliance with near-zero human touch
  • AI Creative Lab
    • Auto-generates ad scripts, voiceovers, video edits, and concept variants using Runway, ElevenLabs, Pika, and Midjourney
    • Predicts creative winners before launch using internal training data from $50M+ in influencer media
  • Autonomous Media Buying Agent
    • Deploys and optimizes Meta/TikTok/Google campaigns based on performance rules
    • Adjusts budgets, tests new creatives, and minimizes CPA via automation
  • Performance Reporting & Strategic Comms Bot
    • Pulls real-time results from ad accounts, CRM, and UGC dashboards
    • Auto-generates weekly/monthly reports, strategic notes, and actionable insights in client-ready formats
  • Sales & Ops Assistants
    • Summarizes calls, builds proposals, writes SOWs, and auto-onboards new clients
    • Extracts learnings from sales and client feedback to train internal AI agents
  • CRO / Offer Optimization System
    • Recommends landing page improvements, hooks, angles, layouts
    • A/B tests autonomously and iterates based on on-site conversion data

Responsibilities:

  • Define the technical architecture and vision for Stella across all departments
  • Prioritize AI deployments based on ROI, impact, and speed of implementation
  • Own product roadmap and interface with internal stakeholders and engineering partners
  • Build, integrate, or manage:
    • GPT-4o / Claude 3 agents
    • LangChain / LlamaIndex / vector DB-based memory
    • Runway / Pika / Midjourney for content generation
    • Zapier, Make, Retool for no-code automation
  • Ship internal tools that automate high-volume, high-impact tasks
  • Train creative, influencer, and performance teams on AI usage
  • Document and maintain SOPs, prompt libraries, and automation chains
  • Champion a culture of continuous experimentation and AI-first thinking
  • Monitor and report on AI output effectiveness: latency, ROI, usage rates, and result impact
  • Refine workflows to improve throughput, accuracy, and team satisfaction

Ideal candidate profile

  • 3+ years in AI systems, automation engineering, or product leadership roles
  • Deep familiarity with GenAI platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Stability AI, Midjourney, Runway)
  • Ability to deploy agent workflows and build internal SaaS tools or leverage no-code APIs
  • Deep intuition for growth mechanics: ROAS, LTV, CAC, conversion funnels
  • Builder mindset: you ship fast, iterate faster, and hate inefficiency

Nice to have

  • Experience in e-commerce, DTC, or performance marketing
  • Media buying knowledge or experience optimizing paid campaigns
  • Built AI copilots, internal GPTs, or operational tools in a fast-scaling startup
  • Experience managing a cross-functional team of devs and marketers

Compensation:

$150K—$350K USD total compensation annually, which includes base, performance bonus, and equity package
