Job description

Teleradiology Systems Specialist

About TMC

Telemedicine Clinic (TMC) pioneered teleradiology services in Europe when it was founded in 2002 and has since become a vital partner for more than 120 radiology departments in the UK, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. In November 2017 TMC became part of Unilabs, a leading European provider of clinical laboratory testing and medical diagnostic.

More and more European hospitals are realising the advantages of managing their reading capacity in collaboration with TMC. This year our team of more than 260 highly specialised radiologists will report over 630,000 cases, making a significant positive impact on the life of patients and hospital staff. In addition to our radiology reporting service, TMC offers pathology reporting services, IT-infrastructure, and software to its hospital clients, as well as training for radiologists (TMC Academy).

Besides this decent track record, we believe that what is most special about TMC is its culture. Many people say that TMC has the feel of a thriving start-up, and they are surprised at how kind and caring we are when dealing with each other and our business partners. If you are interested, you can learn more about our culture in the TMC Culture Book.

The Opportunity

As a Teleradiology Systems Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting a robust, secure, and high-performing IT environment.

Your mission is to ensure the seamless operation of critical teleradiology workflows, providing high-quality, 24/7 support to the technical solutions that enable fast and reliable image-based diagnosis for both Emergency and Elective teleradiology services.

This position requires technical excellence, responsiveness, and a service-oriented mindset, especially when working with VIP users and issues affecting systems which affect patient care.

Mission Department

The IT department’s mission is to implement, maintain, and continuously improve the full spectrum of technologies that support seamless, secure, and high-performing healthcare services across TMC’s global teleradiology network.

We enable collaboration between all medical and non-medical teams involved in patient care, ensuring reliability, compliance, and innovation at every layer of our technology stack. This includes everything from desktop support and user workflows to enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and advanced Teleradiology system integration.

Organisational Context

The Teleradiology IT team at TMC operates as a geographically distributed unit, with staff currently based in Spain, the UK, and Australia. This structure enables the team to provide around-the-clock support for our global teleradiology operations.

The Teleradiology Systems Specialist reports directly to the Teleradiology Support Team Lead and works closely with colleagues across time zones to ensure the continuous performance, security, and reliability of all systems critical to patient care delivery.

Although regular travel is not required, occasional travel may be necessary to client sites or Unilabs offices in Sweden, Denmark, UK, Australia and New Zealand.

Success in this role requires a strong sense of ownership, reliability, and the ability to build trust and coordinate effectively in a remote, multicultural environment.
