About the Role

We are excited to welcome a few Hardware Engineering Interns in Fall 2024 to take Flux to the next level. We worked hard and built an all remote team with a great culture; join us and work from wherever you desire!

What's Flux? Check out this video of How to build an RP2040 with AI.

We're looking for a few ambitious Hardware Engineers to join us virtually for ~12 weeks in the Fall/Winter '24 timeframe (we're flexible on dates). Our current user community includes professional EE's, small and large companies, hobbyists, and students (including FSAE teams).

You’ll work on a variety of tasks designing new projects for our community library, providing product feedback to our team of Designers and Engineers, writing technical documentation, and more! At Flux, interns are given real deliverables that impact our ability to ship new features to our collaborative HW design platform. You will contribute to our success and have forkable content and your own custom PCB's to show for it at the end of the internship!

 What you might work on:
  • Design new components, schematics, shields, and fully manufactured PCB designs in Flux!

  • Build robust documentation and test new features around our Schematic and PCB editors, AI Copilot, and Simulator

  • Interact with power users within our community to share knowledge, report bugs, and triage accordingly

  • Contribute to conversations around product performance, functionality, and upcoming features

  • Develop content, videos/Reels, or training materials to evangelize core features of Flux

You might be a good fit if you have:
  • BS/MS degree in EE or Computer Eng or related work experience

  • Prior work or intern experience with circuit design, PCB verification and/or testing is required

  • Experience with any of the following PCB and/or EDA design tools: Altium, KiCAD, Eagle CAD, OrCAD, EasyEDA, or similar

  • Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Built something in Flux that you are proud to talk about with our team!

Today our teammates at Flux:
  • Autonomously figure out the solutions to their challenges

  • Put themselves in the shoes of our users to craft a great experience

  • Value clear, frequent communication

  • Are naturally curious and lifelong learners

  • Are supportive of each other and mentor each other - especially when teammates are faced with new challenges

  • Are accountable to each other

  • Are experts in their field and uphold best practices in documentation
