Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Windchill Functional Consultant with extensive experience in configuring and implementing Windchill PLM systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, map them to Windchill functionality, and provide ongoing support post-implementation. You will play a critical role in ensuring the Windchill environment meets business needs and aligns with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for PLM implementations.
  • Configure and customize Windchill PLM to align with business processes and requirements.
  • Provide functional expertise during all phases of Windchill PLM implementation.
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications, business process documents, and user guides.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify differences between business needs and Windchill functionality, providing solutions to bridge gaps.
  • Train end-users and ensure proper knowledge transfer for successful system adoption.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by creating test cases and addressing feedback.
  • Offer post-implementation support and troubleshoot functional issues.


Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of Windchill functional configuration and implementation experience.
    • Participation in at least 2 full-cycle Windchill PLM implementations.
  • Functional Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of PLM business processes, including engineering and change management.
    • Expertise in gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional requirements.
  • Documentation:
    • Proficiency in creating functional specifications, process documentation, and training materials.
  • Communication:
    • Strong presentation and communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and end-users.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Proven experience managing stakeholder expectations and delivering functional solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Educational background in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Certifications: PTC Windchill certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP business processes and their integration with Windchill PLM.
  • Experience in organizational change management and user adoption strategies.
  • Prior experience in training, mentoring, and supporting end-users.
