We are seeking an outstanding DevOps Engineer with a passion for product development.
To succeed in this role you need to be a person who can take ownership of operational issues and perform both short-term resolution and development of preventive measures for the longer term. Proactively perform monitoring to maintain highest availability and performance of systems supported. You’ll managing and responding to queries and issues reported by business users while maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders. You’ ll get an opportunity to utilise development skills to drive automation and improvement within immediate area. Work assigned shifts to ensure full business coverage, on weekdays, as part of follow-the-sun support model and Work rostered weekends. You’ll bring 4 to 9 years of experience and a selection of the following technical skills:
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as part of a larger team
• Solid communication skills
• Essential experience in UNIX, bash, Shell scripting, Oracle and strong SQL skills.
• Understanding of Incident, Change and Problem management processes
• Proactive and flexible approach to work - eager to embrace change and take on opportunities to develop new skills and gain business/technical exposure.
• Able to plan and prioritise own objectives and deliverables
It is also an added advantage, if you hold experience with supporting vendor systems and experience working with Confluence, JIRA, Remedy (or similar ticketing system). Experience with JasperSoft, Pentaho, AWS, Splunk highly regarded with prior experience supporting middle & back office systems highly regarded.
