Job description

Octopus by RTG is hiring for a partner organization in KSA an IT Operations Specialist for a 1 year contract. 

We're looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled IT Operations Specialist to

ensure the smooth functioning of our IT systems, infrastructure, and applications. The ideal candidate will play

a critical role in supporting our Core Insurance Platform, monitoring IT operations, resolving technical issues,

and maintaining the organization's IT environment. This position is essential to ensuring business continuity

and delivering exceptional IT service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Activities

Operational Management:

  • Support the BAU operations, including of the Core Insurance Platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Conduct routine system checks, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Respond to incidents in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand and align IT services with organizational goals
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on operational performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Work with the Development and Product teams to ensure smooth deployment of new features and updates.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff or vendors as needed.

System & Infrastructure Management:

  • Ensure all IT systems, networks, and infrastructure are secure, up-to-date, and compliant with
  • industry standards.
  • Oversee system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with the IT Security team to enforce data protection and cybersecurity measures

Incident and Problem Management:

  • Take ownership of incidents, ensuring swift resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Establish and improve incident and problem management processes to minimize business impact.
  • Act as a point of escalation for critical issues and provide executive-level updates as needed.

Requirements

Skills required

  • Knowledge of Monitoring tools and technologies
  • Knowledge of automated DevOps processes and tools.
  • Excellent Problem Solving
  • Strong Communication skills

Typical Education and Work Experience required

  • ITIL Foundation, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT operations, preferably with hand on experience in financial services
  • Experience in financial services is strongly desired
  • Proven experience managing a Network Operations Centre or equivalent infrastructure environment
  • Strong knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and hardware
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ITSM platform
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex IT issues across LAN/WAN, VPN, and cloud environments.
