Kraken’s Policy & Government Relations team drives engagement with policymakers, government bodies, regulators, and industry partners to support Kraken’s mission and business goals.
We are hiring a Senior Manager, Policy & Government Relations in Washington, DC to join our global team. We are seeking a driven professional who has the ambition and experience to shape the policy and regulatory landscape in the U.S.
This role is an in-office position located in Washington, D.C.
The opportunity
Become a key player in Kraken’s global policy and government relations team, based in Washington, DC.
Lead the development of our advocacy strategies that support Kraken’s business goals and long-term mission.
Shape and articulate Kraken’s policy positions on digital assets, financial regulation, and emerging technologies.
Represent Kraken’s policy positions through engagement with policymakers, trade associations, think tanks, and other key external stakeholders.
Represent Kraken in public forums, industry events, and regulatory roundtables.
Build and maintain relationships with trade associations, think tanks, and industry coalitions to support coordinated advocacy.
Collaborate cross-functionally across our business with product, legal, communications, and engineering teams to accelerate Kraken’s growth.
10+ years of direct experience with financial services policy, including Congressional experience.
Strong network within the U.S. policy community, particularly in Washington D.C., with a global mindset and ability to work seamlessly with team members across jurisdictions.
Solid understanding of digital assets markets and related policy and regulatory frameworks.
Proven experience contributing to public policy developments and fostering strong, trust-based relationships with government and industry stakeholders.
Clear and effective communicator with excellent verbal and written skills, adaptable across internal and external audiences.
Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset, with the ability to navigate fast-moving business environments.
Passion to drive transformational changes in global markets and alignment with Kraken’s mission.
