Job description

The Opportunity

Design is at the core of Mixmax’s success, and we’re doubling down on it to take our product to the next level. As our Founding Designer, you'll play a defining role in shaping our product, design systems, and design culture while staying deeply hands-on in execution. This is a Staff-level role that combines strategic influence with exceptional craft.

AI is transforming how revenue teams work, and you’ll be at the forefront crafting innovative, user-centered experiences that redefine productivity. You'll bring a first-principles mindset, strong product intuition, and a drive to create clarity out of ambiguity.

You’ll lead complex design initiatives, establish foundational systems, and partner closely with product, engineering, and leadership. Beyond execution, you'll set direction, advocate for users, and help build a culture where design thrives.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Operates like a founder, taking full ownership of their work and moving with urgency
  • Has a strategic product mindset and a strong grasp of how design drives business value
  • Thrives in highly collaborative, cross-functional teams
  • Has deep B2B SaaS experience and a proven ability to design at scale

You’ll be joining a senior product & design team that moves fast, values design deeply, and has a bold vision for the future. If you’re excited about shaping the next generation of AI-driven tools, redefining how revenue teams work, and setting a new bar for design, we want to hear from you.

Within three months, you'll have:
  • Designed and shipped high-impact product features, setting a new bar for user experience and visual consistency
  • Taken full ownership of design initiatives within your product area, leading discovery, ideation, and execution
  • Contributed to and enhanced our design system, ensuring scalability and consistency across teams
  • Partnered with product, engineering, and marketing to align on vision and execution
  • Gained a deep understanding of our product, users, and market landscape

Within six months, you'll have:
  • Delivered demonstrable impact for our customers through thoughtful, user-centered solutions
  • Defined and driven the design vision for your product area, shaping product strategy at a high level
  • Upleveled our visual and interaction design language in collaboration with senior peers
  • Mentored designers and advocated for design excellence across teams
  • Worked closely with leadership to shape design processes that enable scale and innovation

Preferred Skills & Background
  • Strong experience in product design, with at least 3 years designing for B2B SaaS products with significant user adoption
  • Proven track record of designing and shipping complex, high-impact features that drive measurable business outcomes
  • Excellent visual and interaction design skills, with a high attention to detail and a passion for craft
  • Deep expertise in design systems, with the ability to drive consistency while allowing for flexibility
  • Ability to think holistically and strategically, balancing short-term needs with long-term vision
  • Skilled in prototyping complex user flows, using both low and high-fidelity tools
  • Strong user research capabilities and a user-first mindset, with experience iterating based on feedback
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset with a founder-like sense of ownership

Comfortable influencing without authority, building alignment across product, engineering, and leadership
