Purpose of Role / Summary:
The Compliance and MLRO Officer is responsible for ensuring that Ingot’s policies and procedures comply with regulatory standards and obligations in Seychelles, as required by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). This includes performing regular audits to ensure that all clients, both natural and legal persons, meet the criteria set out in the Company’s compliance manual, relevant laws, regulations, and any other applicable internal or external policies and directives.
The role also involves providing regular training to employees on compliance requirements and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures.
Key responsibilities include preparing and submitting mandatory compliance reports and disclosures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, ensuring that all financial, compliance, and risk reports are submitted to the FSA in a timely manner. The officer also follows up with the FSA on inspections and provides all necessary documentation.
Main Activities and Responsibilities:
· Monitor and report the company's compliance with regulatory requirements, advising the Board and senior management. Provide reports to the supervisory authority upon request
· Maintain and update the company's compliance manual, policies, and procedures
· Oversee the company’s complaints policy, ensuring effective handling and timely resolution of complaints, and maintaining an up-to-date complaints database.
· Ensure staff compliance with the company’s compliance manual.
· Foster a compliance culture by educating directors and staff on Seychelles’ AML and CFT laws, KYC procedures, and the company’s compliance systems.
· Monitor changes in regulations and international standards to ensure the company remains compliant.
· Develop and implement annual training for directors and staff on AML/CFT, KYC, and related topics, updating training as needed based on regulatory changes.
· Regularly review and assess the compliance framework, providing senior management with updates and recommendations for improvements.
· Prepare and submit the annual compliance report to the supervisory authority within 90 days of the year’s end.
· Oversee KYC processes for new and existing clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
· Handle customer complaints per FSA requirements and ensure effective complaints management.
· Report any suspicions of money laundering or terrorism financing and maintain confidentiality of customer information.
· Build and maintain a strong relationship with the FSA, ensuring clear communication.
· Report financial transactions exceeding regulatory thresholds and ensure timely submission of disclosures to the FSA.
· Report any company changes to the FSA as required.
· Review marketing content for compliance with regulations.
· Stay updated on compliance developments and engage with relevant organizations.
