The Role

We're looking for a Principal Data Scientist who is passionate about solving complex problems using AI, machine learning, statistical modeling, and experimentation. As a senior member of the data science team, you will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams to shape the next generation of Session AI’s intelligence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the research, advanced analytics, and feature engineering efforts across AI/ML applications.
Design and develop experiments for machine learning models and statistical algorithms to drive product and customer insights.
Translate complex analytics, performance metrics, observations and findings into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with leadership, product managers and engineers to explore innovative ideas and lead AI initiatives.
Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices in data science and advanced analytics.
Stay up to date with the latest in AI/ML research.

Requirements

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied statistics.
Strong problem-solving skills.
String analytical skills.
Deep knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning, time-series forecasting, clustering, and recommendation systems.
Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) with experience using libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, etc.
Proficiency in SQL.
Experience troubleshooting production issues and doing root-cause analysis.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical content to diverse audiences.
Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

Bonus Points

Experience in behavioral analytics or personalization engines.
Background in real-time data processing or event-driven architectures.
