POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior DevOps Engineer will work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy, operate, and continuously improve our cloud-based infrastructure. They will help architect, develop, and implement a secure operating environment for our web and API based solutions while adhering to Cority standards. The Sr. DevOps Engineer identifies and optimizes the interdependencies between Engineering and Infrastructure Operations through a collaborative approach to continuous delivery and monitoring.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :Architect, develop, and deliver fully automated multi-account global cloud infrastructure on AWS and other public clouds using repeatable methods and patternsSupport continuous delivery pipelines for the deployment to all layers of our SDLCConduct Infrastructure as Code reviews ensuring high programming standardsMonitor and tune infrastructure performanceIdentify and correct performance bottlenecks, while working with Engineering on optimizations and best practicesDevelop and support observability, logging, and APM solutions to provide continuous monitoring capabilities, track all aspects of the system, infrastructure, performance, application errors, and roll up metricsDevelop and improve automation to support environments in managed datacentresProvide mentorship and training to other team members on technologies and processes, drive education and knowledge transfer of design patterns, technical practices, and relevant technologies and toolsResearch and recommend new technologies and toolsets for the DevOps toolchainTroubleshoot issues in the application platform and perform root cause analysis.Fully participate in the ownership of your services and components, including on-call duties and incident response.Support cloud and data center operations: system provisioning, monitoring/alerting, network configuration, Windows, and LinuxQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience5+ years experience with architecting, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems on a multi-account AWS platform5+ years experience of software development and DevOps5+ years experience with CI/CD practices and tools including GitLab, Ansible, AWS Code Deploy, Argo CD, and Jenkins5+ years experience with automation programming in Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languageExtensive proven experience with AWS network and security implementations and managementProven experience with Kubernetes (self-managed, GKE, or AKS), ECS, or other container orchestrationExtensive production experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, or PulumiAdvanced Windows and Linux experience related to administration, security, configuration, and monitoringExtensive experience with building and maintaining high-availability application architectures in datacentres or the public cloudExperience with observability tools such as ELK, New Relic, and DatadogExperience with Microsoft SQL Server, PostreSQL or MySQLExperience with all aspects of a datacentre-hosted production SaaS application, including networking, security, and Infrastructure as CodeAdditional experience with Azure or GCP is considered an assetNote: Incumbent will work regular business hours, but may require evenings and weekends to complete projects, respond to system alerts, or perform maintenance on systems.Cority is committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
