About the Role:

Bright Tier Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Test Engineer to lead and execute quality assurance efforts for large-scale data platform migration and cloud analytics projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring data integrity, performance, and reliability during migrations from legacy on-premises systems to modern cloud data platforms.

Role Responsibility:

As a Senior Tester, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and improving test strategies for end-to-end data flows, including ETL validation, schema transformation, performance benchmarks, and automation. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex data ecosystems across industries.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Lead test execution for end-to-end data migration, ETL, and data transformation processes during SIT.

• Provide support for UAT, Parallel Runs, and Production deployments.

• Validate data accuracy, schema mapping, and consistency across source and target systems.

• Execute performance and regression testing to verify platform scalability and migration stability.

• Build and maintain automation test scripts where applicable.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and cloud architects, to resolve issues and optimize system performance.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Align testing goals with business and project stakeholders.

• Provide timely updates on testing progress, defect reports, and risk assessments.

• Continuously drive improvements in testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software testing, including 3+ years in data migration projects.

• Proven expertise in cloud data platforms such as Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, Synapse, or Redshift.

• Familiarity with legacy platforms like Hadoop, Teradata, and SAP BW.

• Strong hands-on experience with ETL validation, data reconciliation, and performance benchmarking.

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other scripting languages for test automation and data validation.

• Experience with tools like Selenium, PyTest, JMeter, and data quality tools.

• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or testing standards (e.g., ISTQB).

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of DataOps practices and modern testing workflows.
