Azure Security Practice is seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Specialist to engage directly with customers and contribute to their success.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field AND years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.
- Certification
in Security Administration or Azure Security (SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, AZ-500 REQUIRED).
- Fluent in English (A) and Business and Technical English (B1+).
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or related experience.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, IAAP, etc. are preferred.
- Expertise
in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, Next Gen Web Application Firewalls, Secure Web Gateways, Threat detection technologies, Log analysis and Incident Response, Cloud security technologies, architectures, and concepts such as Zero Trust, cloud security posture management, cloud workload protection, Cloud code security, and Cloud infrastructure entitlement management.
- Knowledge
of Cloud Computing: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS), and understanding of one or more cloud security standards and frameworks such as CIS, NIST, CSA, etc.
- Experience and passion for learning (technical and professional skills); implementing practices from others; trying, failing, and learning from both successes and failures; sharing practices and knowledge for others benefit.

As a Security Technical Specialist, you will be a senior technical sales leader and trusted customer advisor, working with cutting-edge security concepts such as CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, ITDR, and technologies like XDR - ITC M365 Defender, Defender for Cloud, and SIEM - Sentinel. You will lead a team of internal, partner, and consulting resources to map ITC solutions to customer security challenges and priorities, demonstrate and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision, enabling the team to achieve/exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
You will spend time planning and orchestrating, preparing, attending meetings (technical presentations, demos, Proof of Concepts, competitive positioning, workshops, etc.), and staying sharp on technical, industry, and competitive expertise.
You will be a qualified expert in:
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud
- Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD)
- Microsoft Purview
- Microsoft Intune + Endpoint Manager
- Microsoft 365 Compliance & Security Center
You will lead Product-Service Development in Security Applications, co-host webinars and podcasts, and co-write white papers on the cybersecurity portfolio.
- Primary technical point of contact for potential customers during the sales process, owning and driving technical wins for security opportunities.
- Deep technical understanding of cloud security architectures, solutions/technologies including M365 Defender, Defender for Cloud, and Sentinel, and expertise in extended detection and response (XDR), zero trust, and cloud security solutions and architectures.
- Remediate blockers; lead and ensure technical wins for Azure Security Practice and adjacent technologies. Engage with and reach out to customers proactively and independently; build credibility with customers as a trusted advisor for Azure Security Practice; search for and use Azure Security Practice customer references; and facilitate handoff to customer success for post-sales deployment.
- Develop strategies and recommendations to improve the client's security posture, shape technical win plans, and tailor ITC messaging to the audience for security opportunities. Enhance team capabilities for extended detection and response (XDR), zero trust, and cloud security, and develop differentiated competitive strategies for Azure Security Practice for assigned customers.
- Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, architecture design sessions; explain, demonstrate, and architect solutions to help solve customer security challenges and priorities.
- Drive cross-workload support for ITC solutions for security. Leverage insights and coach teams to align new or changing technology to customer security needs.
- Engage with other teams within and outside the organization throughout the sales cycle. Engaging partners in sell-with scenarios and supporting their technical capabilities is key to scaling solution delivery.
DevOpsSec App Development Responsibilities:
- Integrate security practices into the DevOps pipeline, ensuring secure development and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement security controls and automate security testing within CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and analyze application security throughout the development lifecycle, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain secure coding standards and guidelines, providing training and support to development teams.
- Implement and manage security tools and technologies to support DevOpsSec practices, such as static and dynamic code analysis, container security, and infrastructure as code security.
- Lead efforts to continuously improve the security posture of applications through proactive measures and innovative solutions.
