We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our vibrant growing Model Risk Management organization as an Associate Model Risk Analyst. This job reports to the Manager of Model Risk. You will work on an ongoing basis with a portfolio of our largest customers to drive and streamline the model approval process and support our customers’ Model Risk requirements, controls and documentation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in statistics, data analysis, and model governance, who has a passion for working with customers, and is looking to develop expertise and kick-start their career in model risk management within a vendor setting. You will work closely with the BioCatch Data Science, Threat Analytics and Engagement Management teams.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Respond to Model Risk Management (MRM) inquiries and requests from a customer-facing perspective.
  • Lead customer discussions to enhance MRM processes, streamline validation, and accelerate time to value.
  • Support customers in remediating model validation findings, tracking outstanding issues, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Prepare and review customer-specific model documentation for MRM approval.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of customer model submissions, validation reports, and approval statuses for tracking and compliance purposes.
  • Identify and communicate documentation gaps to ensure alignment with regulatory and internal governance standards.
  • Stay informed on MRM regulations, industry best practices, and emerging model risks to help customers adapt to evolving requirements.
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Threat Analytics, and Engagement Management teams to ensure swift and effective customer responses.
  • Develop checklists and best practice guides to help customers navigate the MRM approval process efficiently.
  • Manage multiple requests and engagements simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Drive internal process improvements based on customer feedback and regulatory changes.



Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines). Master’s or PH.D, degree preferred
  • Up to 4 years of experience in model risk management, data analytics, or a related field (internships or academic projects are considered).
  • Familiarity with statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and validation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to write, modify and interpret SQL queries
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to focus on multiple engagements at once.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document and present findings effectively.
  • Ability to translate complex technical ideas down to non-technical individuals
  • Understanding of regulatory guidance on model risk management (e.g., SR 11-7) is a plus, but not required.
