🕒 14-Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Do you want to help shape software that impacts thousands of lives?

Who are we?
We’re the UK’s #1 construction-specific software company, delivering end-to-end digital solutions across the entire build lifecycle. Our platforms power the projects that shape our world—used by thousands of customers and impacting millions of lives.

With teams across the UK, Europe, and India, we’re driving an ambitious product roadmap centered on large-scale transformation, continuous delivery excellence, and global expansion. If you're passionate about people, process, and technology, we want to hear from you.

Purpose of the Role

We’re looking for a Technical Delivery Lead to join us on a 14-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave. This hybrid role blends agile delivery leadership with hands-on technical acumen.

You’ll lead a multi-disciplined software team, ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable software using Agile methodologies. While not expected to code, your technical background enables effective conversations with architects, engineers, and stakeholders, bringing clarity, coordination, and confidence to every sprint.

You’ll report to the Development Director and work closely with product owners, tech leads, and other delivery leads across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Product Delivery

  • Champion Agile/Scrum methodologies and facilitate ceremonies (planning, standups, retros, etc.).

  • Partner with the Product Owner to shape backlogs and define sprint deliverables.

  • Monitor team velocity, sprint health, and release planning.

  • Remove delivery blockers and manage risk escalation.

  • Communicate technical goals clearly to both engineers and business stakeholders.

  • Contribute to improvements in cross-team collaboration and agile maturity.

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10 including developers, QA, and tech leads.

  • Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and development planning.

  • Build a high-performing team culture focused on ownership, collaboration, and quality.

  • Foster continuous improvement through coaching, mentoring, and peer support.

What We’re Looking For

✅ Experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or Technical Delivery Manager
✅ Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
✅ Background in software development or engineering (e.g. ex-developer or tech lead)
✅ Able to engage in technical discussions—comfortable with architecture, cloud (AWS), and deployment concepts
✅ Strong stakeholder communication, problem-solving, and delivery focus
✅ Experience with people leadership and performance management
✅ Comfortable managing dependencies across multiple teams and release cycles

What You’ll Be Working With
  • Multi-functional Agile teams (Developers, Tech Leads, QA)

  • Jira, Confluence, Agile planning tools

  • Projects touching modern software architectures and cloud platforms

  • Close collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Infrastructure teams
