Oracle Fusion Logistics/Supply Chain SME (Contractor/1099)

Position Overview
The Consultant participates as a key contributor on Oracle advisory engagements. The Consultant will act as the subject matter expert for Oracle engagements and perform advisory tasks that include Strategic Assessments, Platform Selections, and System Integrator Selections 
Responsibilities
Lead or participate as a key member of a team providing HCM/ERP technology and delivery consulting services to a client related to their:
  • HCM/ERP technology and service delivery strategy, understanding of requirements and drivers, development of financial business case, and understanding of market alternatives
  • Qualification of relevant technology platforms and systems integrators, or AMS service providers, including the ability to highlight their relative strengths and weaknesses
  • Facilitate an effective evaluation and selection process amongst competitive software bidders, including functional, technical, commercial terms and relationship evaluation
  • Facilitate an effective evaluation and selection process amongst competitive system integration bidders, including methodology and accelerators, staff experience and qualifications, commercial terms and relationship evaluation
  • Facilitate an effective evaluation and selection process amongst competitive outsourcing providers, including service capabilities and delivery model, commercial terms and relationship evaluation
  • Facilitate planning and oversight of client’s technology and/or services deployment, target operating model design and related change management initiatives
  • Develop and modify Intellectual Property (IP) for delivery of HR technology and delivery consulting services, as described above
 
Project Management
  • Manages multiple small-to medium-sized projects or a major sub-project. 
  • Develops project work plans from existing templates.
  • Assists with estimated staffing and task duration for project.
  • Ensures project meets milestones.
  • Utilizes project management tools as required.
  • Communicates project status to both client and ISG management, identifies risks and mitigation steps and escalates issues appropriately.
 
Financial Modeling 
  • Develops multi-year financial models of appropriate complexity leveraging ISG templates.
  • Proficient knowledge of HR, Fin, IT operating budgets and the budgeting process.
  • An understanding of technology-related charges.
  • Ability to produce normalized, comparative analysis of vendor pricing proposals leveraging ISG templates.
 
Technical Skills
  • Utilizes technical knowledge to assist clients with sourcing evaluations.
  • Assists with preparation of RFP and related documents, ensuring client requirements are included.
  • Assists with balancing relevant functional, technical and pricing issues.
  • Assists with drafting and customizing the functional requirements and demo scripts
  • Assists clients with defining optimal service delivery models leveraging ISG templates.
  • Assists with the evaluation of vendor proposals and identifies potential strengths/weaknesses
  • Maintains and enhances knowledge in business and technology trends
 
Client Relationships
  • Develops relationships with business function management
  • Provides advisory services to mid-level management as well as senior management
  • Able to lead discovery sessions, workshops, and other client and provider meetings independently
 
Leadership
  • Demonstrates positive attitude and sets the standard of leadership that motivates ISG and client team members
  • Manages projects to time and budget estimates
 
Negotiation Skills
  • Assists with the preparation for negotiations with vendor
  • Documents issues and questions for project team use
  • Ability to facilitate problem escalation and dispute resolution between client and supplier
Business Development 
  • Identifies potential new business opportunities with existing clients
  • Participates as a team member in sales opportunities
 
Methodology Development and Improvement
  • Works to improve all aspects of ISG methodology, tools and work products.
  • Assists in the development of work products and standards
  • Regularly contributes to ISG thought leadership 
 
Required Skillsets
 
  • This is a remote role based in the US with up to 10% possible travel
  • 5+ years of experience in implementing Oracle ERP solutions within Logistics and Supply Chain processes
  • Specific experience with as many of the following Oracle modules: PLM, WMS, GTM, OTM, SQM, Contracts  
  • Deep understanding of Oracle Fusion implementation methodologies and overall knowledge on best practices to deploy Oracle Fusion
  • Experience working with Tier 1 systems integrators in large scale Oracle implementations
  • Experience within the Healthcare market is a plus
  • Demonstrates proficiency in use of MS-Office suite of software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of management including senior leaders 
 
Education
  • BA, BS in Logistics, Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant fields of study
