The Role
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist with fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology and experience treating ALS, PLS, and other neuromuscular conditions. This full-time, remote position is ideal for a physician passionate about improving access to expert neuromuscular care via telehealth, contributing to multidisciplinary care models, and driving innovation in neurodegenerative disease management. Spanish language proficiency is preferred to support a diverse population of patients and caregivers.
Job Duties – What you’ll be doing
Deliver virtual longitudinal care to patients with neuromuscular diseases, including ALS and PLS.
Conduct detailed evaluations Collaborate with an integrated care team, including genetic counselors, palliative care experts, and social workers.
Guide diagnostic and therapeutic plans tailored to each patient’s disease progression and personal goals.
Educate and support patients and families, addressing the physical and emotional challenges of neuromuscular diseases.
Contribute to clinical protocols and care model enhancements.
Participate in regular case discussions with peer neurologists and other members of our multidisciplinary care team to ensure consistency and quality
Requirements – What we look for in you
Board-certified (or eligible) in Neurology with fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology.
Experience managing ALS, PLS, and a wide range of neuromuscular conditions,.
Comfortable with telehealth care delivery and working with remote, interdisciplinary teams.
Licensed (or ability to become licensed) to practice in multiple states (Synapticure provides licensure support).
Passionate about improving care models and advancing outcomes for underserved patient populations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in academic, multidisciplinary, or research-driven care settings.
Prior participation in ALS clinical trials or specialized care programs.
Proficiency in spanish.
