What you’ll do as a Senior Manager, Training & Development - Telecom Consruction
Lead Training Program Development: Design, implement, and oversee technical training programs that equip field personnel with essential telecom construction skills, ensuring compliance with OSHA and industry safety standards
Manage the Training Center: Oversee daily operations of the training center, ensuring facilities, tools, and instructional materials support effective training in fiber splicing, pole climbing, equipment operation, and network installation
Subsidiary Training Coordination: Partner with subsidiaries and field leadership to assess training needs and ensure standardized best-in-class instruction across all locations
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of instructors and training coordinators, ensuring training initiatives are delivered consistently and effectively
Evaluate & Improve Training Effectiveness: Utilize feedback, KPIs, and industry benchmarks to continuously improve training content and delivery methods
Budget & Resource Management: Oversee training center resources, ensuring cost-effective management of tools, equipment, and personnel
Support Operational Readiness: Align training programs with real-world job demands, ensuring employees are equipped to excel in fiber construction, utility coordination, aerial/underground operations, and project execution
Maintain Compliance Standards: Ensure all training programs meet regulatory requirements and company policies
What You’ll Need
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Telecommunications, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered
10+ years in training & development, curriculum design, or workforce development within telecom, construction, or utility industries
Strong knowledge of fiber optics, outside plant (OSP) construction, splicing, and lineman training
Ability to manage and operate a training center, including scheduling and logistics
Experience with learning management systems (LMS), instructional design, and hands-on technical training
Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with subsidiaries and cross-functional teams
Travel: Must be able to travel up to 50% to subsidiary locations
