We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager who will be responsible for leading procurement activities associated with the Energetics & Propulsion Commodity team.  In this role, you will be responsible for the overall procurement activities supporting the Raytheon business unit. You will work very closely with external suppliers as well with internal customers and functional areas.  You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic growth-oriented environment that supports a broad portfolio of programs across multiple Mission Areas.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform subcontract management of purchase orders utilizing integrated supply chain models
  • Preparation of all manner of solicitations including RFQ, RFP, and RFI
  • Analyze quotations/proposals utilizing price/cost analysis techniques
  • Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms)
  • Place and Manage Purchase Orders of high dollars and complexity including Cost Reimbursable, Firm Fixed and Time & Material through the lifecycle of the Purchase Order to include Closeout
  • Manages escalations and resolution of internal customer and/or supplier issues
  • Manage financial goals in relation to our subcontract deliveries
  • Drive the success of meeting business factory MRP
  • Drive the success for metrics, Late to Place, Late to Dock, Delinquent Material, etc.
  • Develop plans to promote cost reduction initiatives and performance improvements (technical as well as quality)
  • Travel to RTX and supplier facilities as deemed necessary - typical travel may be quarterly or more

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management or similar role
  • Experience with Supply Chain/Procurement processes, supplier interface and purchase order placement
  • Experience with SAP/PRISM
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) or within other heavily regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, medical, space, aviation, power generation or automotive
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and in an organized manner, with strong customer service focus
  • Experience in written contractual authorization/vehicles (Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, Contract Closeout, etc.)
  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Finance or STEM field
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry
  • Ability to analyze Cost and Pricing Data and determine proposal compliance
  • Ability to understand technical requirements of procured hardware and services including Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Ability to process information and manage multiple conflicting priorities to drive to successful outcome (i.e., multi-task)

This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
