Job Purpose:

We are seeking a BI Developer / Data Product Analyst with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to transform raw data into actionable insights through dynamic dashboards and robust reporting structures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Google Cloud’s suite of tools, including BigQuery, Data Studio, and Looker, and be skilled in building scalable and performant data solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of business data and the ability to present complex insights in an intuitive and actionable manner.

As a Data Product Analyst, your role will center around leveraging data to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This involves data exploration, transformation, analysis, and the creation of comprehensive visualizations that guide business strategies.


Job Details:

  • Location: 100% Remote - Open to candidates based in Central America, Mexico, or Colombia.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CR Time Zone
  • Job Type: Full-Time Employment
  • Language Proficiency: Spanish: Advanced (Fluent) / English: C1 in reading, writing, and conversation
  • Availability: Immediate availability is preferible


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and business intelligence reports using Google Cloud tools such as Looker, BigQuery, and Google Data Studio, tailored to business requirements.
  • Create and optimize reusable semantic layers, curated datasets, and data pipelines to support self-service analytics for business users.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate their needs into actionable data requirements and insights.
  • Develop and implement scalable data solutions, ensuring optimized performance and usability of data visualizations across teams.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive business improvements.
  • Champion data literacy and empower business teams with the knowledge and tools to leverage data for decision-making.
  • Maintain and optimize ETL processes in Google Cloud using tools such as Cloud Dataflow, BigQuery, and other GCP offerings.
  • Provide actionable insights through detailed reports, data visualizations, and storytelling that inform strategic business decisions.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting and analytics efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging BI technologies and Google Cloud innovations to continuously improve BI processes and tools.


Required Academic Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in business intelligence development or data analysis, with a strong background in GCP technologies (BigQuery, Looker, Google Data Studio, etc.).
  • Proficient in data visualization tools, especially Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
  • Expertise in SQL, with experience in querying large datasets and performing complex data analysis on Google BigQuery.
  • Strong data storytelling skills and the ability to present data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data modeling, semantic layer development, and BI best practices, specifically within the Google Cloud ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience building and optimizing data pipelines and reporting systems on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and building scalable BI solutions in the cloud.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business teams, to ensure alignment on data requirements and solutions.
  • Solid understanding of key business metrics (e.g., revenue, sales, customer engagement) and how to translate them into impactful dashboards and insights.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Cloud’s Data Science and ML tools (e.g., AutoML, Vertex AI) to integrate predictive analytics into business intelligence solutions.
  • Familiarity with modern data engineering practices and tools (e.g., Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions, Cloud Pub/Sub).
  • Understanding of data governance and security best practices within Google Cloud.
