As a CDI Specialist, you will:
• Review and analyze clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and ensure accurate coding.
• Provide education and training to clinical staff on best practices for documentation improvement.
• Utilize data analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement in clinical documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support the development of policies and procedures related to clinical documentation.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical documentation improvement or a related field.
• Active RN license
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is required; advanced degrees preferred
• Current Permanent U.S. work Authorization Required
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding and DRG assignment.
• Clinical Documentation Improvement methodology
• Case Management/Care Coordination
• HIM/Coding • Ability to work on multiple projects.
• Ability to validate and derive insight from large amounts of data from diverse sources.
• Experience in collecting, manipulating, interpreting, and cleansing data from multiple and diverse sources using various relational database platforms such as Access, FoxPro, MS SQL.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The estimated salary range for this job is $80,000 to $105,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy and Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
