Job Title: Senior Front-End Software Engineer (React/TypeScript) Location: Onshore – U.S.-based (Remote, with one-time travel) Employment Type: Contract (6 months)
Overview
We are supporting a high-tech client in the software industry with the potential need for 4–5 U.S.-based Senior Front-End Engineers. These engineers will work within client pods focused on building intelligent customer service agent tools. The work is highly autonomous and requires strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
This is an onshore-only opportunity—engineers must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Citizen, Green Card, or valid work visa). Preference will be given to candidates in U.S. time zones for optimal collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain front-end components using React, TypeScript, and JSX
• Work closely with client teams within product pods to design and deliver scalable agent-facing tools
• Independently manage and drive workstreams from planning to production
• Collaborate across teams to unblock issues, troubleshoot problems, and ensure timely delivery
• Contribute to technical discussions, peer reviews, and agile ceremonies
• Maintain a high level of code quality and performance
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in front-end software development
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and JSX
• Strong understanding of component design, state management, and modern front-end architecture
• Experience integrating with REST APIs and using version control (e.g., Git)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills—comfortable working in distributed, agile environments
• Strong self-management, accountability, and execution skills
Nice to Have
• Exposure to prompt engineering or working with LLMs (a plus, but not required)
• Experience in customer service tools or enterprise SaaS environments
Additional Information
• Start Date: Targeting May 1
• Contract Duration: 6 months
• Work Authorization: Must be U.S. work authorized
• Time Zone: Preference for candidates in U.S. time zones
• Travel: One-week onsite bootcamp at the client’s San Francisco HQ (travel costs covered separately)
• Rate: No fixed budget; please propose market-competitive rates based on experience
🔧 React – Must Have
• This is the core framework being used.
• It defines the architecture, component model, lifecycle, and state management for the project.
• Senior engineers are expected to already be highly fluent in React.
🔧 TypeScript – Strongly Preferred to Must Have
• TypeScript is often a project-wide standard in modern enterprise front-end development.
• It’s tightly integrated into most React codebases today for type safety and better tooling.
• You could be slightly flexible if someone is a React expert and has strong JavaScript fundamentals—but ideally they should be at least TypeScript-proficient.
🔧 JSX – Inherent in React
• JSX is the templating syntax used with React, so if someone knows React, they’ll automatically be familiar with JSX.
• It’s not something you would test for separately.
