Luzmo is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on AI Engineer with a strong theoretical background and practical experience in applying AI technologies. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in AI and has spent time the past 2 years working with Large Language Model (LLM) APIs. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating AI-driven solutions into real-world applications, working closely with software engineers, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate AI/LLM models into product workflows (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.)

  • Optimize AI model performance (latency, cost, throughput)

  • Design, build, and maintain backend APIs and services using Node.js

  • Build internal tools and APIs for experimentation and prototyping

  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and observability

  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML (LLMs, vector databases, LangChain, etc.)

  • Contribute to architectural decisions around AI infrastructure and backend systems

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver AI-driven insights.
