We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Sales Trainer & Strategist to develop, implement, and deliver effective sales training programs while also driving strategic sales initiatives for a global clinical research organization. This role is crucial in ensuring our commercial teams have the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to succeed in a competitive, fast-paced, and highly regulated industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales training, instructional design, and coaching, combined with expertise in strategic planning and sales enablement within a healthcare or life sciences environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive sales training programs tailored to the needs of global commercial teams in the clinical research industry.
Facilitate engaging and effective training sessions using various delivery methods, including in-person workshops, virtual training, e-learning, and on-the-job coaching.
Assess and analyze training needs through collaboration with global sales leadership, regional teams, performance data, and industry trends.
Develop and update training materials to ensure compliance with industry regulations and alignment with business goals, therapeutic areas, and customer expectations.
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, performance metrics, and continuous learning assessments.
Provide coaching and mentoring to sales representatives across regions to reinforce training and enhance sales capabilities.
Collaborate closely with global sales, marketing, operations, and medical affairs to ensure training and strategic initiatives support cross-functional objectives.
Drive global alignment of sales strategies, messaging, and positioning to ensure consistency and impact across markets.
Analyze market dynamics, competitor intelligence, and client feedback to inform sales strategy and training needs.
Support strategic planning efforts including segmentation, targeting, and go-to-market execution across different geographies.
Develop playbooks and sales tools that reflect complex, consultative selling processes relevant to clinical trials and pharmaceutical clients.
Champion a culture of continuous learning, agility, and innovation within the global commercial organization.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
Experience in sales training, sales strategy, or commercial excellence roles within a global clinical research organization or life sciences company.
Proven track record of success in a sales or sales leadership role.
Strong understanding of the clinical trials ecosystem, biopharmaceutical industry, and regulatory landscape.
Exceptional facilitation, coaching, and communication skills with a global and multicultural mindset.
Experience with instructional design and adult learning principles.
Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights to enhance sales effectiveness.
Strong organizational and project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
High level of energy, enthusiasm, and passion for sales development and strategy.
