Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and results-oriented SEO Specialist to take ownership of both internal and client-facing SEO strategies. This role demands expertise in technical SEO, local market optimization, on-page and off-page SEO, and detailed performance reporting. You will be instrumental in driving organic growth and improving search engine visibility.

Key Responsibilities

Local Market Area (LMA) Optimization

  • Conduct research to identify client-specific target LMAs
  • Develop and implement geo-targeted strategies to enhance local search rankings

On-Site SEO

  • Perform keyword research aligned with business and campaign goals
  • Optimize website structure, meta tags, headers, and on-page content
  • Conduct regular SEO audits to ensure best practices are implemented

Off-Site SEO

  • Manage online business listings, directories, and citations
  • Build and monitor backlink profiles to improve domain authority
  • Oversee SEO-optimized press releases and other PR opportunities

Technical SEO

  • Execute audits to identify and resolve crawl errors, page speed issues, and other technical concerns
  • Implement schema markup and other structured data enhancements
  • Collaborate with developers and content teams on technical recommendations

Reporting and Analytics

  • Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, and key engagement metrics
  • Provide performance reports and actionable insights on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Use data to make strategic recommendations for ongoing improvement
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably within an agency environment

Skills

  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, and/or Ahrefs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Technical Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress and Shopify
