Mission Statement:

Summary:
The Head of Group Account Management – North America will serve as the Regional Head of Group Account Management. They will contribute to Hitachi’s sustainable growth ambition through establishing a structured account management approach across Hitachi’s targeted industry segments. They will be responsible for proposing and implement the necessary account management processes and frameworks (eg account plan development, share of wallet & customer satisfaction increase, capture team selling etc.). They will manage a team of Group Accounts within a specified region and work closely with businesses and regions to ensure customer needs can be translated into competitive value propositions that deliver profitable orders.
The Group Account Management work focuses on medium to long-term planning and face-to-face selling of a variety of products, services and/or solutions across multiple lines of business for a defined group of existing clients including:
Developing medium to long-term account & sales plans and preparing strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with a defined group of customers.
Identifying cross/up and repeat sales opportunities.
Resolving problems and ensuring customers receive high quality customer service.
Developing client retention and growth plans and strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts.
Reviewing and reporting on customer retention, business opportunity and market trends.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of group account managers and regional account managers
Oversee aligned account plans driving the share of wallet through creation of competitive value proposition in collaboration with business units
Profitable order & sales pipeline responsibility for assigned team of accounts in partnership with Businesses and regions
Collaborate with global Segment heads to establish joint thought leadership and domain expertise and promote a targeted value proposition

Functional Skills and Requirements:
Mastery of Hitachi's solution ecosystems and their alignment with customer needs
More than 15 years of successful Account Management and marketing & sales related working experiences within complex matrix organizations
Proven track record in driving sales growth, developing account strategies, and building strong customer relationships
Experience in developing and leading cross-functional teams and working with global frameworks
Strong skillset in influencing stakeholders across diverse functions and regions
Commitment to understanding and prioritizing customer needs as central to all initiatives.
Demonstrates flexibility in adapting to dynamic markets, customer needs, and organizational goals
Excellent communication skills
Japanese proficiency is a plus

For residents of New York, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, Rhode Island, Vermont, District of Columbia, Ohio, Illinois, and Washington state only, as required under applicable pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position if filled remotely is $273,000 - $330,000. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi America’s variable pay program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
