Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Cloud Financials Functional Consultant with expertise in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payables (AP), Accounts Receivables (AR), and Cash Management modules. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the implementation, configuration, support, and enhancement of Oracle Cloud Financials applications, helping to optimize financial processes and ensure seamless financial operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oracle Cloud Financials Expertise:

    • Provide functional expertise in Oracle Cloud General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payables (AP), Accounts Receivables (AR), and Cash Management modules.

    • Configure and maintain the Oracle Cloud Financials applications to meet business requirements and streamline financial processes.

    • Assist in integrating Oracle Cloud Financials with other modules like Procurement, Inventory, and Fixed Assets.

  • Implementation & Configuration:

    • Lead or support the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Oracle Cloud Financials applications (GL, AP, AR, Cash Management).

    • Conduct gap analysis and prepare functional specifications for customizations or enhancements.

    • Collaborate with business and IT teams to map business requirements to system functionality.

  • Process Optimization and Best Practices:

    • Review and optimize business processes related to GL, AP, AR, and Cash Management to align with industry best practices.

    • Implement automation and workflow management to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention in financial processes.

  • End-User Support and Training:

    • Provide functional support to end-users during and post-implementation.

    • Lead user training sessions and develop training materials for GL, AP, AR, and Cash Management processes.

    • Resolve user issues related to financial applications and ensure timely and effective solutions.

  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:

    • Ensure that the system configurations support accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

    • Develop and support financial reports using Oracle Cloud's reporting tools and assist users in generating financial statements, AP/AR aging reports, and bank reconciliation reports.

  • System Maintenance and Upgrades:

    • Maintain the Oracle Cloud Financials system, troubleshoot issues, and apply necessary updates or patches.

    • Participate in regular system audits and improvements, ensuring that all components are functioning optimally.

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including accounting, finance, and IT, to align financial systems with business needs.

    • Provide status reports and manage expectations with project stakeholders.


Required Skills and Experience:
  • Oracle Cloud Financials Modules:

    • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payables (AP), Accounts Receivables (AR), and Cash Management.

    • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, financial close processes, and financial reporting requirements.

  • Functional Consulting Experience:

    • Proven experience in implementing and supporting Oracle Cloud Financials applications (GL, AP, AR, Cash Management).

    • Deep understanding of business processes and best practices within the financial operations space.

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud ERP setup, configuration, and integration capabilities for financial modules.

    • Experience in using Oracle Financial Reporting tools (e.g., OTBI, BI Publisher) and designing financial reports.

  • Communication Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders, business users, and technical teams.

    • Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement changes in Oracle Cloud Financials.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Oracle Cloud Certifications (GL, AP, AR, Cash Management) are a plus.

  • Experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financials or other ERP systems is a bonus.

  • Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or other integration technologies for connecting financial applications to third-party systems.


Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
