We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join a team working within Moodle LMS and related technologies.
This role is to provide short term cover, commencing in mid to late May and lasting approximately 6 to 7 months. However, there is potential for the role to be extended beyond the initial period, with the possibility of turning into a permanent position.
Based in the UK, the role can operate on a remote basis however, attendance at on site meetings with the client in Corsham is required at least once per quarter.
A security clearance check with a minimum of 5 years of qualifying UK residency is required as part of the pre-screening process.
Job Summary
Design and develop architectural blueprints that align with business goals and technology standards
Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality solutions
Lead the technical design and implementation of complex solutions
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to implementation teams
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable
Conduct regular reviews of systems and architectures to identify areas for improvement
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of managing their day-to-day tasks independently, have experience of communicating with and instructing stakeholders in both technical and non-technical roles and confident in their ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and frameworks
Previous experience of solution architecture or similar
Fully proficient in Microsoft Office or G-Suite
Strong Stakeholder Management ability
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Moodle LMS and awareness of other Learning Technology standards such as xAPI
An existing interest in Open-Source technologies and Agile project management workflows is desirable but not essential
