We have been asked by a leading telecom reseller to source the very best telecom sales expert to join their national sales team. The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for developing and executing a sales plan to grow the company's hosted VOIP business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in B2B sales, as well as experience with hosted VOIP solutions.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Generate new business self-generated leads from a database of warm company contacts.
Stay on top of prospective customers' renewal dates to catch sales opportunities.
Sell telecommunications services, including: VoIP, IP PBX and Connectivity.
Take a consultative approach to understanding customers needs and selling the correct solution.
Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at prospective and existing customers.
Track and report on sales activity and performance.
Meet or exceed sales goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
3+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
Proven track record of closing deals.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Self-motivated and results-oriented.
