Job Description

INTRODUCTION:

As an Event Specialist, you will aid in creating memorable experiences for our customers and internal team members by assisting in the planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events. You will be responsible for supporting the team ensuring events such as corporate conferences, industry tradeshows, social gatherings and more, run smoothly and meet the objectives of our organization and leave a positive impression on attendees.   

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Assist in overall event plan by coordinating various logistics under direction of team lead
  • Organize and manage inventory for trade shows, company store, event gifting, etc.
  • As needed assistance on-site for event set up, management, and tear down
  • Cost tracking and budget reviews with event team lead
  • Vendor and Supplier Relations
  • Conduct venue, vendor, and supplier research
  • Gather initial vendor proposals and provide recommendations based on cost and quality
  • Coordinate vendor payments and budget implications
  • Post-Event Evaluation
  • Assist team lead in budget reconciliation
  • Create event re-cap decks and reports
  • Review and track post event feedback and provide recommendations for improvement 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Self-starter personality with ability to take extreme ownership over tasks and projects while maintaining a white glove, high touch service model.
  • Excellent communication skills with the flexibility to adapt levels of personalization and care accordingly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks while maintaining strict attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated individual with proven self-discipline to work independently and effectively in remote environment.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, deadline driven environment.

AND IT’S GREAT TO HAVE: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Agency or DMC experience in hospitality, corporate travel or incentive programs, and account service/ project management
  • Exposure to tradeshow and corporate meeting planning
  • Network of industry partner relations

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only and based on employees in the United States and may be different in other countries. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and location, as well as market and business considerations. Our pay range for U.S. based candidates for this positionis $41,000.00 - $52,500.00 USD annually. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
