Job description

Job Overview:
An experienced Project Estimator is sought to join a dynamic team. This role focuses on analyzing project scopes, interpreting blueprints, and collaborating with the Director of Operations to prepare accurate and competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate government projects from the company database, ensuring alignment with company criteria.
  • Review RFQs (Request for Quotations) and prepare detailed bids accordingly.
  • Analyze and prepare take-offs; research products and services to align with project specifications.
  • Monitor and manage bids to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
  • Collaborate with project managers on awarded projects to ensure seamless execution.
  • Ensure all estimates comply with industry standards and company requirements.
  • Communicate with clients to clarify scope and project specifications when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating or project management, preferably in Commercial Buildings (offices, multi-family residential, industrial, and retail).
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite (Google Workspace); familiarity with Jobtread or similar software is a strong advantage.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, including MEP systems and workflows.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to resolve scope-related questions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid background in project management and comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry, both practically and financially.
  • Experience managing bidding processes and driving them to successful completion.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for process integration and efficiency is a requirement.
