Position Summary

The Accountant II is an integral role on the MultiCare finance team, responsible for month-close tasks and ledger reconciliation. In this position, you will apply your accounting expertise to ensure smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities

You will prepare journal entries and adjustments in general and subsidiary ledgers
You will prepare monthly reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts
You will meet monthly close deadlines and follows-up as appropriate with supervisor/reviewer to assure timely preparation of all work

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Science or Arts in business administration with major or specialty in accounting required; five years of recent, relevant healthcare experience in progressively more responsible positions may be substituted for the degree
Minimum three (3) years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
Experience in creating and working with Excel spreadsheets
Experience in Microsoft Word and Outlook preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $26.83 - $38.60 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
