Paralegal (Interim, Part-time, and Remote)

This is a 1099, part-time, 12 week position. Must be located in the U.S.

Role Overview: 
We are seeking a skilled Paralegal with experience in commercial contracts to join our team on a 12-week contract while our in-house lawyer is away from the business. This role will focus on reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing customer contracts, including our Terms of Use and Data Processing Addendum (DPA). Experience with SaaS and data privacy regulations is preferred but not essential. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
• Review, redline, and negotiate customer contracts, including standard Terms of Use and DPAs. 
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales and Customer Success, to align contract terms and finalize deals. Manage Legal cases and direct outreach from revenue colleagues as needed. 
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding contractual language and negotiate appropriate solutions. Written correspondence established as standard protocol, meetings may be necessary based on customer interactions.  
• Identify and escalate complex legal issues to senior stakeholders when necessary. 
 
Qualifications and Experience: 
• Proven experience as a Paralegal with a focus on commercial contracts. 
• Familiarity with SaaS agreements and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is preferred. 
• Strong understanding of contract negotiation principles and ability to balance legal risks with business objectives. 
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders. 
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. 

Compensation$35-$42 per hours
