Overview

As a Senior User Experience (UX) Designer, you will play a vital role in shaping the digital experience of Sagent’s platforms. You will be responsible for leading more complex design projects, ensuring our products meet the diverse needs of banks, lenders, and their customers. This position involves a deeper engagement with user research, strategic design decisions, and tackling sophisticated design challenges.   

Your Day-to-Day at Sagent: 

Advanced Design and Prototyping: 

  • Develop comprehensive user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups for features tailored to the mortgage industry, enhancing the overall user journey.
  • Implement and refine design components, ensuring consistency and scalability across our product suites. 
  • Lead the design and execution of interactive elements, animations, and micro-interactions that improve overall user engagement. 

User Research and Testing: 

  • Plan and conduct detailed user research sessions to gain insights into the needs of business clients and end consumers. 
  • Facilitate usability testing to validate design concepts, using findings to drive iterative improvements and guide product development. 
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable insights, influencing product development and prioritization.  

Cross-functional Collaboration and Expertise: 

  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align in project goals, ensuring user-centric approaches are integrated throughout the design process. 
  • Contribute expert insights during design reviews, helping to guide the team through challenges and providing solutions to complex user experience problems. 
  • Mentor junior designers, providing guidance on design best practices and fostering professional development.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, or relevant discipline with 4 – 6 years of experience in a related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. 
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principals and best practices, especially in B2B2C SaaS based software environments.
  • Proven ability to handle complex projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork and effective customer interactions. 
  • Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to delivering exceptional support experiences. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
