EFA99L – VP, Finance

 

 

Brief Description:   

 

The Vice President of Finance will provide financial and business leadership, developing and implementing strategies to drive profitable growth for all Segments.   Key responsibilities will include the establishment and enhancement of financial processes and controls to ensure timely, accurate and actionable financial reporting.   The position will advise senior management on various financial issues and collaborate cross functionally to improve quality and service levels for our internal and external customers.    

 

Specific job duties:

  • Support the Chief Financial Officer and leadership team to set and deliver the business plan and meet key operating & financial goals
  • Strategic thought partner to the business with a focus on driving growth and value creation
  • Lead and mentor the local finance teams and operating partners to develop enhanced skills and elevated business acumen
  • Partner with colleagues across organization to drive both business and functional operational improvements and efficiency projects
  • Lead the core operating mechanisms, including the Annual Operating Plan process, Quarterly Business Reviews and forecasts in collaboration with the leadership team, functional teams, and finance managers
  • Ensure businesses meet the monthly corporate reporting calendar and align with local accounting standards and US GAAP
  • Provide oversight to the Project Finance team to oversee pricing and project related controls ensuring financial records are maintained with the highest degree of integrity while also maximizing profitability and cash flows
  • Oversee contracts team to ensure that customer contracts are delivered in a quality and timely manner    
  • Establish performance reporting tools and metrics plus analyses and recommendations to optimize business results
  • Partner with commercial colleagues to develop and model large customer deals. Drive and ensure contract compliance
  • Develop analytical models and tools to drive growth initiatives and improve business decisions
  • Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets


Supervisory Responsibility:  

  • Overseeing finance team activities, setting priorities, ensuring deliverables are met and selection and development of team members

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Candidate will demonstrate expertise in the following areas: financial reporting, internal control, financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, project management, and technical accounting knowledge within a P&L accountable business
  • Strong business and industry knowledge with a history of business partnering as well as the ability to develop and implement robust financial processes to drive effective decisions
  • The capability to identify and champion productivity improvements and create an atmosphere of continuous improvement through continual process improvement
  • Proven track record to recruit, develop, and lead professional teams and provide constructive feedback through performance and development processes
  • Shown history of leading cross functional / country teams and building organizational relationships with customers, peers and operating partners across functions & geographies
  • Excellent communication skills: Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Effectively communicates complex information throughout the organization, proactively and continuously.  
  • Integrity: Demonstrates understanding of “fiduciary” responsibility as a leader; effectively articulates ethical business practices and holds people accountable for ethical action. 
  • Excellent Organization/Time Management: Demonstrates consistent ability to successfully prioritize work and meet deadlines.  Keeps complete and accurate budget and project analysis records in compliance with company SOPs and processes. Works well under strict deadlines and has the ability to balance diversity in workload and prioritization of assignments.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or other relevant analytical background
  • CPA, Chartered Accountant, MBA or equivalent is a plus
  • 15+ years of progressive relevant work experience within a global organization
  • 7+ years of management experience
