A Brief Overview
As part of the Strategic Management & Execution Team within US Individual Life the role of Project Manager supports the USIL’s growth strategy and other strategically important initiatives. Responsible for managing multiple, large, cross functional and highly complex projects. Assembles project teams, manages project, delegates responsibilities, and develops project schedules. Determines and acquires resources needed. Responsible for project scoping and budgets. Supports business planning requirements including, but not limited to budgeting, scheduling and workload planning. Drives out cross-functional decisions through project steering facilitation. Provides leadership and direction on firm-priority programs and projects
What You Will Do
- Lead multiple, cross-functional projects and initiatives from beginning to end.
- Maintain and foster internal and external client relationships. Ensure that clients’ objectives are met and gain understanding when the objectives are not feasible.
- Analyze client requirements and timelines and determine implementation schedules for introduction of initiative(s).
- Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
- Plan and manage resources ensuring all projects meet obligations and budget expectations.
- Develop, maintain and distribute required project presentations, documentation and performance information, including status reports and progress measurements.
- Provide guidance to ensure effective utilization and integration.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry practices, trends and applications.
- Establish and maintain best practices and consistent project management policies and guidelines in line with project management methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 8 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years managing large scale projects
- Specific experience in life insurance or reinsurance
- Preferred Experience managing the development and implementation of business-to-business solutions
- Experience in Underwriting or Pricing/Actuarial (either direct experience of managing of projects focused within)PMO and/or portfolio management experience
- PMP, FLMI, ACS, or related credentials preferred
- Highly advanced project management skills; demonstrates ability to evaluate project objectives and scope feasibility, gain understanding, schedule resources, and manage budget to plan
- Highly advanced level of investigative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to lead, facilitate and drive to decisions with Executive Management.
- Previous experience managing large, complex projects
- Highly advanced level of people management skills, demonstrating the ability to lead, mentor, and develop associates; including the ability to delegate key areas of responsibility
- Highly advanced oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received
- Expert ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives
- Advanced skills in customer relationship management and change management
- Highly advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions
- Highly advanced ability to manage multiple projects and/or teams simultaneously
- Highly advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines
- Highly advanced persuasion and negotiation skills when working with internal/external customers

Compensation Range
$87,050.00 - $131,450.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
