Summary of the role
Reporting directly to the BU President, the BU Communications manager will play a critical role in the business achieving its growth and profitability ambitions through the design, development and execution of appropriate marketing communications activities.
The role has two primary dimensions; marketing communications for the 4 commercial businesses (the PA’s) and management of central digital communications platforms including the business web and social media presences. Additionally the role is responsible for all aspects of brand compliance and management
Tasks and Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
Brand Management: Oversee brand development and management in line with Group guidelines
Compliance: Ensure all marketing and communication activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
Digital Marketing tools: Lead and develop BU common digital tools including website, social media, PIM, CRM, Bynder…
Project management/coordination regarding new tools implementation as CRM ensuring standardization within the BU
Manage and streamline Trelleborg BU FHS use of agencies for creative, media and marketing
Content Development: Oversee the creation of high- quality content. Coach and support the Trelleborg BU FHS management team to improve content and visual attractiveness of messaging, presentations etc
Collaboration: Collaborate with the PA’s to align their marketing and communication strategies
Event Management: Coordinate and provide guidance to PA’s for events, conferences, and webinars to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
Works closely with BU HR on employer branding and social engagement initiatives
Reporting: Provide regular reports to the BU President and senior management, offering insights into the performance and impact of communication; budget/spending
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other Marketing advanced degree desired
Relevant experience of managing marketing communications at a senior level (7-10 years) including demonstrable strength in:
Message framing: selecting the right words to maximize clarity and engagement
Design thinking: Structuring slides for maximum comprehension and retention
Persuasive communication: effectively aligning messages with audience expectations
Audience-Centric Messaging: tailoring content to resonate with different stakeholders
Data Visualization – Presenting complex information in a clear, digestible format.
