About The Role

We are looking for a Manager of Financial Operations and Systems to lead and optimize our financial systems, billing, invoicing, and cash collection processes. This role requires a strategic and detail-oriented professional with expertise in financial technology, internal controls, general ledger accounting, and GAAP compliance. You will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency and integration of financial processes across multiple platforms.

What You'll Do

Financial Systems Management & Integration

• Oversee and provide support for financial systems, including NetSuite, Celigo, Bill.com, Expensify, Versapay, Tesorio, Carta, Egencia, and ADP.
• Enhance the flow and accuracy of NetSuite data by integrating it with other systems within the Apartment List ecosystem, such as Salesforce.com, Culture Amp, Grow, Pave, and proprietary internal platforms.
• Participate in cross-functional data governance initiatives to ensure data integrity across all company systems.
  
  

Billing, Invoicing & Cash Collection Optimization

• Optimize NetSuite processes for billing, invoicing, dispute resolution, and cash collection to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Improve NetSuite’s Case Management protocols to ensure faster response times for customer requests.
• Automate processes to eliminate the need for manual work performed by Billing and AR teams
• Develop integrations between billing systems and customer portals like Coupa, Yardi Rent Cafe, AvidExchange, and others.
• Implement and manage a sales tax collection process using best-in-class financial systems.
  
  

Accounting & Compliance

• Enhance general ledger (GL) functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage NetSuite OneWorld for international entities in Israel, Canada, and support the setup of new global subsidiaries.
• Optimize and shorten the month-end close process
• Develop and implement internal controls to maintain the integrity of financial systems.
• Improve financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.
• Strong experience in financial operations, systems management, and internal controls.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
• Experience with financial systems integrations and automation.
  
  

Pay Range

We carefully consider a variety of factors to determine compensation for each position, including the role, level, and work.

• Zone 1: $172,000 - $208,000 (including $150,000 - $183,000 base salary) + equity
• Zone 2: $159,000 - $193,000 (including $140,000 - $170,000 base salary) + equity
• Zone 3: $147,000 - $178,000 (including $130,000 - $156,000 base salary) + equity

We also rely on market indicators along with considering your work location, job related skills, experience and relevant education and training, to determine compensation that is fair and competitive for you. Apartment List will consider paying compensation near the higher of the range in exceptional circumstances, where candidates have the experience, credentials or expertise that would warrant such consideration.
