Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises assigned staff in the Formulary Administration and Strategy department. Position performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Client Responsibilities:
This is an internal and external client facing position that requires excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills (listening/verbal/written). One must be able to; Respond promptly to client needs; Solicits client feedback to improve service; Respond to requests for service and assistance from clients; Meet commitments to clients; Manage difficult or emotional client situations.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and over 2 (two) years related pharmacy benefit management or healthcare experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of supervisory experience required or 2 years MedImpact experience can be substituted for the supervision experience requirement plus an appropriate external leadership training program and internal mentorship with a seasoned leader at the Director level of above to be completed within 12 months in the new position.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office Suite of software tools as well as knowledge or ability to learn to use MedAccess and claims adjudication logic.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Pharmacy Technician license or equivalent experience.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, ratios, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general public.
