Job description

This is a remote position.


Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm California Time with 30 minute unpaid lunch 


Description:

The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal position is a valued member of our team and will report directly to the Transaction Coordinator and President of Operations.

 

This position will require someone that has experience creating, editing and reviewing contracts. The duties of this position will be splits approximately as follows:

  • 33% creating contracts in Microsoft Word
  • 33% editing existing contracts in Microsoft Word
  • 33% data entry where you will record key metrics into CRM database which are discovered from review of contracts and information obtained from clients

 

This position required a very high attention to detail as there are many variables involved and accuracy is critical to your success. Exceptional organization, communication and follow-up skills are a must!

 

You will work as part of a 3-person team and it is your responsibility to provide support in key areas which will involve the following primary responsibilities:

  • Drafting Contracts Using Pre-Established Templates in Microsoft Word
  • Reviewing Contracts to Extract Key Information for Data Entry
  • Reviewing Contracts for Accuracy and Completeness
  • Make Corrections to Contracts as Needed
  • Reviewing Client Files for Accuracy and Completeness

 

You will be creating, editing or reviewing several dozen documents per day. This will require a tremendous amount of analysis and communication. We cannot stress enough the importance of attention to detail and communication skills.

  • Positive outlook in general; maturity to deal with challenges in an upbeat manner without complaint

Requirements:

  • Experience with Contracts and Document Drafting in Microsoft Word
  • Minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), and an ability to learn other software programs quickly
