Position Summary: The RSS is a key player in the communication and marketing aspect of our sales team with a focus on increasing sales and market share in addition to achieving territory sales goals based upon business plans for surfacing and flooring categories. The RSS is responsible for generating new relationships with K&B, Fabricators, and flooring retailers as well as maintaining existing relationships by providing customer service, updates, and sample maintenance. The RSS sets up tower displays, counter racks, etc. and follows up with clients on a regular basis, keeping the working relationship thriving and constant. Always looking for new venues to promote our company and product, the RSS uses his/her resources to find new ways to bring sales to the Territory Manager and company. This position requires an entrepreneurial spirit, knowledge and understanding of our products, and excellent communication and marketing skills.
Role Description:
· Strong focus on residential market, i.e. Kitchen and Bath Dealers, Fabricators, Designers, and Retail Flooring businesses.
· Direct communication with Territory Manager to cover respective areas to minimize overlap and to maximize coverage of residential market
· Provide excellent customer support to clients by following up requests, answering questions, providing samples, updating tower to gain sales growth throughout market
· Obtain understanding of competitors and key trends in our industry and understand marketing dynamics
· Establish comfortable and strong relationships with our key clients to gain preferred sales position in their respected establishments
· Practice excellent sales and marketing techniques efficiently and effectively
· Work in a team environment as well as be self-reliant
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Achieve annual sales goals based upon our business plan.
· Gain and maintain market share amongst fabricators, kitchen/bath designers, flooring retailers, etc.
· Understand general knowledge of the Partners Portal, with focus on FOC input and follow up
· Gain knowledge of ongoing competitive marketing strategies and report to any and all who benefit
· Establish new relationships with customers and set up tower displays and sample displays. Update current customers with current samples/displays and update sales staff with brochures and changes, if any
· Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction in a timely and effective manner, knowing our chain of command and/or being able to find out if unsure
· Foster and build Key customer relationships to create market share growth and preferred customer value
· Administrative responsibilities, i.e. Salesforce, Tip-Top, Egencia for travel expenses, g-UAS for expenses, etc.
· Effective communication with Territory Managers, Director, Corporate Offices personnel, etc.
· Ability to perform as a team player, working with others to achieve a common goal.
Education and Work Experience:
· Undergraduate degree in business or related field preferred but not required.
· At least 2 yrs. min experience within the region, ideally building/interior products
· Direct experience working with certified fabricators, retail, kitchen and bath (K&B) dealers, designers, remodelers, Lowe’s & The Home Depot stores and architects/designers preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
· Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
· Excellent Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
· Excellent selling skills and strong marketing knowledge

Physical Demands:
- Position requires sitting at a desk working on a computer at a minimum of approximately one day a week (20% of the time).
- Position requires the ability to lift up to 60lbs. This requirement relates to lifting of samples, towers, tower/display set up and stocking & restocking towers/displays.
- Position requires regular and reliable attendance. Customer events may also be required to attend.
- Position requires driving & traveling to accounts within the assigned territory approximately four days a week (80% of the time).
- Position may require travel out of state 3-4 times per year to support company trade shows and/or events.
