Job Description
As a Business Development Manager, you will be working closely with the leadership team, sales, marketing, and account management teams to identify, develop, and nurture high-value partnerships that drive business growth. This role requires a strong ability to build relationships, negotiate deals, and align our services with potential partners’ needs.
So, what will you be doing daily?
- Identify and Engage Partners: Proactively identify and establish relationships with strategic partners, including agencies, tech companies, and enterprise clients.
- Develop and Execute Partnership Strategies: Design and implement strategies that drive long-term collaboration and revenue growth.
- Work Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and account management teams to ensure partnership goals align with business objectives.
- Negotiate and Secure Agreements: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring successful deal execution and long-term value creation.
- Monitor and Optimize Performance: Track partnership performance through key metrics, optimizing strategies as needed.
- Research and Market Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor partnerships, and emerging opportunities to refine strategies.
- Manage Partner Relationships: Act as the primary liaison, ensuring smooth communication, resolving issues, and fostering long-term engagement.
- Lead Generation & Referral Programs: Establish and manage referral programs or strategic alliances that drive new business opportunities.
- Contract & Compliance Oversight: Ensure all agreements align with legal, financial, and operational standards.
Preferred experience
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated success in business development, partnerships, or strategic sales.
- Strong Relationship-Building & Negotiation Skills: Ability to foster and maintain meaningful business relationships.
- Understanding of Digital Design & Agency Models: Familiarity with the digital design, development, and creative services industry.
- Excellent Communication & Presentation Skills: Ability to clearly convey ideas and value propositions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-Motivated & Results-Driven: Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving partnership success. Experience using CRM tools and analytics to measure and refine partnership strategies.
- Project Management Skills: Ability to handle multiple partnerships, track deliverables, and coordinate execution across teams.
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to adjust strategies in response to business needs, industry shifts, and partner feedback.
- Network & Industry Connections (Preferred): Established relationships in the digital design, tech, or agency space are a plus.

In the first month, expect to
- Go through the Clients Survey.
- Start sending cold emails.
- Gain a deeper sense of our products and how we work.
- Go through client proposals and reestimate timelines and services offered.
In the first three months, expect to
- Draft replies to clients’ inquiries.
- Schedule, coordinate, and client meetings.
- Keep track of all meeting information and payments.
- Conduct market research to identify new revenue opportunities, monitor competitors' activities, and analyze client requirements, habits, and trends.
- Suggest ideas on how we can improve our daily operational work processes.
In the first six months, expect to
- Create Figma proposals and Contracts for a client (with supervision).
- Prepare a project handover for the PMs in Notion.
- Organize and attend Discovery calls with clients.
- Liaise with the marketing team to execute promotional content and campaigns, develop "go-to-market" models, and compile and analyze statistical data.
In the first year, expect to
- Lead client meetings.
- Engage in up-sale opportunities in collaboration with the PM team.
- Actively participate in improving agency processes.
